Jeff started cutting the openings for some of the doors and windows with a chainsaw, which means making final decisions on exact placement, yikes. Exciting to stand and enjoy our view from our great room.

After inspection of the rafters by the city we could start placing the T&G for the ceiling. Mario, Roberto and another helper did a great job with this. Everything turned out straight and square and its amazing how different it feels inside with an enclosed roof. The house feels bigger actually, which seems ironic.

I was so glad I didn't have to worry about Jeff up on the roof. He's not so crazy about heights either.

This only shows one side completed but the entire ceiling is now finished and we can move on to the next step.

Currently we are working on getting and planning our recessed lighting system so these can be added before the insulation goes in. Fortunately, our brother-in-law works in lighting and is helping with this. So, in the next few weeks, weather permitting (snow is
forecasted this week...) we can finish the roof.
