The main floor is now installed. It is very exciting to be able to actually stand on the main floor where the kitchen, great room and bedroom/office will be.
We'd decided to hire this work out to Roberto (the guy who has been working for us the past few months) and his boss Mario. Jeff had planned to do this himself but has been really busy with work. He had to travel to St Croix last week for work so Brooke and I went along and we made a little vacation out of it. So,we missed another small snowstorm and returned to see the work completed.
Before we left Jeff had set all the rafters in place but not yet pinned them. As you can see, thanks to some windy days they didn't remain in place and one set actually blew off the end of the ridge pole. Good thing there was an extra two rafters leftover.

The view from the back loft looking at the snow covered mountain is awesome not to mention the lake views we can now see.

This weekend Jeff and his crew Mario and Roberto will be placing the last rafters and pinning them, cutting holes for some of the doors and windows and working further on the floor and roof.
Daddy's little helper.

While we were gone, they also stained all this T&G for the roof/ceiling.

Looks like we have some clear weather ahead so progress should continue.
